Something to be proud of

Well, my third post in a row...:p

Lots of people pass their daily lives doing video editing for their blogs or photo shop pictures for their blogs. They can be talented, but not having a professional certificate in that field often limits them to doing simple stuff.

Being connected to a church gives u a lot of opportunity to tap into your talents. Its not everyday you get to do video promotions for an event..

Had the opportunity of getting involved in the production of the following camp promo video. Its something that i am really proud of, not only of myself but the whole team, directors, videographer, video editor, and actors...

Really guys...u rock!!

Down memory lane...

Holiday time, din have much to do..so went thru my hard disk and found some really old photos...not really old..but its old enough..hehe its amazing how ppl change over few years span...Its a wonder how many photos can one get from one folder itslef i think its would be the span of years from my form 5 years to upper 6 years :)

Pangkor trip with form 5 classmates...haha that trip would be one of the memorable trips of my high school years :)

Could drive by then...so we often went to the mamak store nearby Uma rani to have a drink after class..I remember the milo ice that time was rm1.50 and maggi goreng was rm2 haha cheap food...the milo was always very 'kao' sometimes even saturated as lots of the milo power would be left unmelted..we would often wonder if it was coz the cup was not washed properly :p

These bunch of guys were the ones that often hung out with me after class..we went to Pangkor for a trip..yes Pangkor again...

Uncle Lim(not the dog..) also joins us for most mamak sessions...yes uncle...coz she always says she's not aunty..(lame..haha)

Usually after the mamak session we would proceed to visit Winnie and Tommy who would be waiting for us at Pua Kee's house...

Or we could go to Kepong to visit Jie Lun...

Occasionally we would have bbq's or gatherings.

I would usually be the odd one out coz all of them are senior high classmates from the arts stream classes..while i'm the only one from science stream. Why am i there? thanks to two buddies that i was quite close to in form 3....still enjoy hanging out a lot :)

At the time most of these pictures were taken, i was already driving to school...each morning would wake at 6am to be able to get to school on time...

When talking about school, can never leave out the form 6 bunch...we were all from different classes, all from different back ground...mixed together we became...a class that doesn't go out during recess and doesn't respeond in class ..hehe

Still we had fun times together....
Paddle boat at tasik titiwangsa...

Trip at Pangkor again...haha

Bbq at Vivien's house..

Then of course....we cant forget the How family sisters...whom at that time kinda became like family to me...(Sorry vincy dont have your picture..)

Then of course there's my own family...
Wasnt with them coz this pic was taken while Audrey went to Shanghai...

Then there were times where mom and tim came down during the summer..

Which meant heaps of sibling fun...

When it comes to talking about brothers and sisters...just can't leave our the spiritual ones as well :)

Looking through these pictures i have mixed feelings. Feeling nostalgic about the good times we had last time, wondering where have some of the people gone and wht they're doing now, and also feeling glad that some are still there ready to start new chapters in our lives...

Hey u guys who are reading this... glad you're still around... :)
Some of u need to contact me...haha

clearing the cobwebs...

Sorry guys..i know..i know...cobwebs all around :) haha

Lots have been going on, just that well i wanted to wait to get the videos of my performances to post here, but it seems..i keep forgetting to bring a hard disk to collect the videos. (yup after i lost my 8Gb thumb drive life has been miserable...)

Anyway...i just decided to get on with my posts since lots of u have been asking me to :)

So...yea my hols just started..and have been busy going around the past few days :)

Usually so busy with uni work and weekends with church, it was great having a rest...just that all of a sudden with nothing to do..it felt kinda weird...kind of like a ship going at full speed suddenly stops..it takes some time b4 u can really stop...so..i did pack my week full with activities..:)

Spent time with some high school friends, spent time with the SE leaders and all..it was really refreshing..

Ever felt too caught up with things till your whole life just revolves around doing things...assignments...duties...whatever those things are...Well I realized that was my life for the past few months...yes i do tend to like work a lot (gosh i'm a workaholic...) but fun is also a thing that should not be lacking from our lives..as was discussed in YA some time ago, recreation and rest are part of the 10 things in out lives that we should have :)

One thing i realized...is that the company you're with also determines the amount of fun you have. I do go to movies and sing k with my coursemates, but still, yesterday's dinner with at Su Chan Deli was one of the best times i had for a long time (no offence to my coursemates...).I agree with you totally Joseph..Its been a really long time since we had such fun as a group..we should do this more...some non competetive, pure fun time spending together... :)

Gosh too much to write....I started off wanting to post something of a totally different nature..but i guess i got carried away :) Guess you guys will just have to wait for my next post :p

Dont worry it'll be soon..i promise :)

back online haha

To all my blog readers, yes those whom discovered the "secret"...(-_-")

Sorry for not having posted anything lately...i kinda misplaced my camera....but now its found and yea will start to update it as frequent as possible. Sorry for this uninteresting post without pics :)

Much has happened since my last post...Well of course firstly, during the raya hols, had a day out with few close friends. Went to Zan Mai sushi, had a great time. The food was good, but... I guess i'm a chinese food person. Ordered a unagi udon, but ate onli the rice haha...weird huh?

Then we went bowling..its been 5 years since i last bowled so obviously lost het first match, ended up having dance the para para sakura machine next door (we were in Mid Valley btw)
It was quite a nice day, relaxing and all..realized how long i had not just went out and had fun with friends, usually with the other group, its just sing k, thats fun too, but its been so long since i went for a sports event (bowling's a sport right? hehe)

Same week, went for a basketball match :) time have changed....my batch, seems that everyone knows how to play basketball, or at least from my school. But this match, saw that so many of the ppl who are still in their teens seems to not have nich skill for the sport, maybe basketball is a "chinese school" sport, coz i realized most of those who could really paly and knew the rules were from chinese schools, the others were footballers who knew the basic rules and had the stamina. It was fun though :) results not too bad, for a team of 4 with two who didn't really know much about basketball, we got 3rd place (out of four hehe at least not last la)

On top of that had a great weekend...great sermons at least...not too great for the sound ppl...I think i would have a few years of my life cut off...coz of the problems...but it was still a good weekend session(s).

So much for last week...Today will be having a performance at uni. Haha yea din tell most of u guys coz...kinda had a miscommunication....for the whole things. in fact i omli knew the dress code for performers like yesterday 9pm haha so...well...anyways now i've got a blister on my finger and i broke a nail....i know comming from me it sounds weird..but as a classical guitarist, fingernails are quite important. So...lets pray for the best later :)

Just to inform my blog readers...we will be having an orchestra performance in UCSI on the 31st october 2008 8pm If you're interested la..

Will be back with pics of the performance :)

Last minute rush!!

Just finished technical exams myself, didn't do very well i guess, but did my best so...its up to the judges, Dr loo and Dr chan to judge :(

I myself am gonna be free till after raya where i have to present my orchestration O3 and and also orchestration on scoring for wind orchestra..should start work now i guess :p

Anyway for my coursemates things are not going too well, they just finished technical exams yesterday, then have to rush for tmr's presentation. Thank God i'm only taking the course next sem :)

The H4 room in which we usually use for relaxing was converted into a temporary cyber cafe

all we lack is some people playing dota ( which we usually do as well but today is super packed so we opted not to :p)

Nevertheless....we still love fun. Catherine's birthday was last week, decided to celebrate today. So all of us, left our work stations and....

Yup, as much as we can work hard, and study our brains out and practise our fingers off, we still enjoy having fun :)

Now everyone's back to work and i'm...in a holiday mood :) yeah!! no more work till next week :p

week 12 sem 1 08/09

Week 12.....exam week again....this week...analysis and technical exam...
This is what you'd expect from UPM - Universiti Perperiksaan Malaysia
Week 12 out of 14 study weeks....2 exams in 14 study weeks, not counting finals after the 14 weeks...seems like i never got out of high school :)

Caught some pics of my course mates and juniors...would be nice to say that the reason for these pics were because of the exams, but i can't lie can't i :) they were from last week. For some reason, these were the only postable pics i found on my camera. (being a new blogger, have not gotten into the habit of snapping at everything :) )

Yeap it suits the exam theme very nicely :)

looking forward to next week, which is a one week holiday due to hari raya celebrations. The local unis are very good to adjusting mid sem holidays in accordance to festive holidays, which mean we wont have 1 or 2 days more holidays...good thing is no need replacement class..bad thing is ....no extra holidays..sob..

Plans for next week....sleep...sleep....sleep...oh yea..and assignments..and practice....and....well there goes my holidays....haha

Technical exam is tmr....gonna get blisters on my fingers...scales scales scales....good for skills, bad for flesh..

Its hard to train a technique when you've got a slight "kecacatan" c if u can spot what is different from your hand :)

Answer: shorter last finger...

Its hard to play when you can't reach....but still its not impossible... One of my teachers said that its possible that it may grow longer...that was few years ago. Not that i've measured it, but still it looks shorter than its supposed to be :)

Its almost 4 pm...gotta go prepare to go uni...gonna have a long afternoon...

Thank God for public holidays !

17 September 2008...Selangor public holiday...Yay!!!!

Its been a long time since had a break from classes on a weekend, so all my coursemates..well not exactly all...some of my coursemates and i planned a day out. Most of them wanted to go shopping for evening gowns for the upcoming MPO concerts...of course, that was not why i was there with them hehe..not a chance guys..sorry..at least not now yet :p

Anyway had to wake early to send vivien back to uni, yes she spent a night at our place coz the uni internet connection a bit cacat vista cannot connect so she asked if could come to our place to do her report. Cut the long story short...went to uni and saw this

Seems that the unit keselamatan has been busy...actually the car was clamped the night before already...then well today i dropped by and it was still clamped..meaning that its been 2 days since the owner has driven it..poor car...

Back to my story...sent vivien back to uni then went on my way to Sg Wang...for one thing...Sing K.. haha...yeap thats wht i enjoy doing when i'm stressed out..plus it helps keep me updated with songs too (getting old d lo...haha) oppss..better stop at a gas station first...since the gas went up..this has been something that i see quite frequent

Finally in Sg Wang..initial plan was to park at KTM station then later go back to collect the car before going for the next item, which was lunar mooncake festival celebrations at music house for music department students (since we're all chinese...well at least 99% so we have a celebration every year) but Audrey told me she may need help with transportation for the ukm student outing so i drove to Sg Wang. Reached there at 1020am..Sing 11 am session..so had some time to do some shopping...well window shopping for me, but for the rest...i think they spent most of the time choosing which wallet to buy (don't think all of them bought in the end though)

Since last sem, I have been going quite frequently to karaoke outlets with my coursemates but its been about a month since i last went..kinda lost touch with the songs and, this time was qutie quiet, but we enjoyed neverhteless :)

Halfwya thru, Audrey called and said no need my help to fetch the ppl...my first thought... parking... there goes my $$ well.. at least i can go window shopping..

After hours of walking around the stores, my coursemates bought heaps of stuff, shoes, clothes, accesories...then we went to Madam Wong's for dinner...

After dinner, it was back to UPM for the celebration. It has been a tradition since our batch that hte juniors entertain the seniors for this event. So..all of us were kinda anticipating what the juniors had prepared for us. It turned out to be quite fun..games, food and lame jokes...one lame joke at least...too lame for me to share hehe....

Well, thats it...i guess...nice break from normal routine of mundane classes and assignments...next week will be exam week though....but still i wouldn't miss this break even if its exams tmr :)
